October 3, 2008, Newsletter Issue #179: Fisher Space Pen Factory

Tip of the Week

Located in Boulder City, this little factory is a great stop along the way to Hoover Dam. These pens were developed for NASA and have been on every manned space flight since 1968 because they work in zero gravity. Made out of high-grade aluminum, they are virtually indestructible, too. In fact, they're so cool they even write under water! They're made at the factory in Boulder City, and you can take a tour of the factory Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 3:00pm. You can also buy pens -- they make perfect gifts for your friends who love science and technology. The Fisher Space Pen factory is located at 711 Yucca St. in Boulder City. Call 702-293-3011 for more information.
