December 10, 2004, Newsletter Issue #2: New Year`s Eve in Las Vegas

Tip of the Week

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. If your looking for something to do this New Year`s Eve, Las Vegas`s New Year`s Eve celebration will be extra special this year. 2005 marks the 100th year of it`s existence and Vegas wants to celebrate like only it can. This year`s celebration is expected to draw 300,000 visitors. There will be $600,000 worth of fireworks and a laser show production which will feature a soundtrack written by Harrah`s headliner Clint Holmes and a countdown of fireworks that will explode into the shapes of the numerals 10 through 1. The fireworks will be launched from 10 Strip hotels: Excalibur, MGM Grand, Monte Carlo, Bally`s, Flamingo, Venetian, Treasure Island, Stardust, Circus Circus, and Stratosphere. While not for anyone who hates crowds and isn`t willing to pay the higher holiday hotel rates, it should prove to be something you`ll never forget. Most hotels require a minimum stay of 2 or 3 nights. If your thinking of going don`t wait because not many rooms are available. If you just need a room and will book your other travel needs, if any, separetly, try http://vegasreservations.com (or call toll free 1-866-828-984 ext: 3981, 1-800-469-3026, 1-800-228-1176 or 1-800-469-3026).
