The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is considered to be the most remarkable automobile racing complex in the world by drivers, as well as by race fans. Sports Illustrated has named it the Racing Capital of the West. With 42,000 tons of asphalt, 175 miles of wire, 600 tons of steel, 1,975 tons of concrete, 8,000 mirrors, and 2,600 lighting fixtures on 200 light poles, you can see why the Las Vegas Motor Speedway which is part of a 1,600 acre facility receives the acclaim that it does.
